PAC cutters and granulators form the foundation of every automated, inline cutter/fan-based trim and waste handling system. Our original, timeless design handles nearly any type of waste material safely, effectively and quietly. Ultra-thin film, foil, laminate, paper, nonwovens, corrugated and fabric – even carpeting and automotive floor mat trim – are no match for the precision chopping of our advanced cutters and granulators. High performance, low maintenance and long term durability are proven in more than 40 years of trouble-free operation in over 1,000 installations worldwide.
Cutters:
PAC 78 and 811 Series inline cutters feature a host of engineering advances that ensure fast, clog-free handling of continuous trim and filament with low maintenance needs.
Shaftless Cutting Chamber
Exclusive design integrates end discs of rotor into cutting chamber to virtually eliminate the potential for material wraps.
Open Box Rotor
Design promotes free passage of air for smooth, quiet cutting without significant pressure change.
Fly Knives
Rotating fly knives are cylindrically ground in housing to ensure uniform clearance across the complete width of the bed knife. Proprietary milling process matches fly knives to rotor notches for secure, positive location and retention. Two- and six-knife designs available in standard AISI-D2 tool steel or in optional tungsten carbide.
Adjustable Bed Knife
Novel approach uses differential screws to set and adjust precise cutting clearances between the rotor knives and bed knife to less than 0.00025″.
Easy, Safe Access
Removable, aluminum top cover provides complete access to cutting chamber for fast, easy knife replacement. Precise control over the clearance between the cover and housing prevents costly, noisy air leakage.
Angle Cuts Noise
Installing precisely angled fly knives provides shock-free, low-noise shear cutting.
Prevent Contamination
Outboard, sealed bearing design prevents the possibility for waste material contamination due to contact with lubricants or other substances.
Compact Design Saves Space
Flange mounted motor eliminates the need for a bulky, separate base while low profile eases installation.
The PAC 78 Series inline cutter is ideal for materials conveyed in ducts up to six inches in diameter. The PAC 811 Series excels with larger volumes and heavier materials. For a comparison, the PAC 78 cuts 0.5 mil film and scores 0.25 mil with a 0.00025″ cutting clearance. The PAC 811 cuts 1.0 mil film and scores 0.5 mil with a 0.0005″ clearance.
PAC cutters come with either rear or bottom discharges and may be installed new or retrofit onto existing systems. Call 302.999.8000 to confirm which is the most efficient, cost-effective choice for your system.
Granulators:
PAC 78 and 811 Series inline granulators feature a host of engineering advances that guarantee clog-free trim and waste handling regardless of heavy trim thickness or high production rates.

Granulation Screen
180 degree granulation screens feature hole sizes ranging from 0.125″ – 2.0″ diameter plus custom sizes. Throughputs may exceed 400 pounds per hour depending on the screen. Screen is easily removed for occasional maintenance.
